THE UNHINGED CLOSET is our curated buyout program for pieces that still deserve a second life… without the stress of photographing, listing, shipping and managing resale yourself.

This is not traditional consignment.

And definitely not a dumping ground.

We selectively purchase closets, collections, and individual pieces that align with the UNHINGED THRIFT aesthetic: editorial, intentional, quality-driven, and full of personality.

WE LOOK FOR:

standout vintage
interesting textures
well-made pieces
leather, denim, outerwear, and accessories
pieces with attitude
the random treasures you’ve been meaning to list on eBay.. someday

Not fast-fashion overflow.
Not garbage bags of random basics.
Not endless clutter.

HOW IT WORKS:

Submit photos of your pieces or closet.
We review every submission for quality, fit, and overall aesthetic.
If selected, we arrange a buyout, pickup, shipment, or drop-off.
Pieces are thoughtfully curated before release.

Some stay original.
Some become something entirely different.

SAVE YOURSELF THE PHOTOS.

We’re probably not the right home for everyday basics, activewear collections, used swimwear, undergarments, or heavily pilled or stained pieces.

Damage isn’t always a dealbreaker. If something has enough character to be rebuilt, reworked, or become something better, we still want to see it.

We generally pass on high-end luxury labels. Authentication gets complicated, and that’s not where our focus is right now.
